CrossFit Woodbridge: Murph Tactical Flag

Murph doesn't need a theme. But it does need a shirt. CrossFit Woodbridge made sure their community had one worth wearing long after Memorial Day was over.

Overview

The front leads with the CFW monogram — a Virginia state silhouette tucked into the letterform with three speed stripes cutting through. The back does the heavy lifting: a full distressed American flag fills the space, with the Murph workout reps woven through the stripes as repeating text, and "MURPH" set in a bold collegiate outline font center stage. Everything is printed in white and grey on a black unisex crew. The dark base makes the two-tone grey ink read clearly without competing with the design.

Results

The workout reps hidden inside the flag give this shirt something to discover every time you look at it. It's designed to feel specific to Murph, not like a general gym shirt with a date slapped on it. The kind of crossfit shirt that stays in rotation well past summer because it still carries some weight.
