Our Connection To The Keys
To us, Key West isn't an escape from somewhere else. It's a destination worth building part of your life around.
A number of years ago, Tanya and I discovered Key West on a day trip. That one visit changed things for us. We liked the place so much that we started spending part of our year here, living on the island while continuing to run UNITEE. Some of our kids even attended school in Key West for a time.
We also got married at Fort Zachary in weather that looked an awful lot like a tropical storm. Debris did not hit us during the ceremony Looking back, that seems like a pretty appropriate introduction to island life.
Anyone who's spent meaningful time in the Keys knows it's not always an easy place to live. It's expensive, isolated, occasionally inconvenient, and the weather has a mind of its own. But there's something about the people, the creativity, and the wonderfully unusual culture that makes all of that worthwhile.
We’ve met so many wonderful people over the years and are honored to be able to design and print Tshirts and apparel jobs for others in this region. Everyone seems to have some crazy story that entails crazy weather and a “temporary stay” that turns into some version of “been here for the last 25 years”. There's a whole world beyond the tourist side of Duval Street, and that's the Key West we've come to appreciate most.
While operating a large printing facility on the island isn't practical for us, that doesn't mean our connection to the Keys ends when we leave. Our production team in Lafayette, Louisiana handles the printing while we bring our personal understanding of the region, experienced artwork, responsive customer care, and shipping directly to customers throughout the Keys.
We understand the place, respect it, and we're grateful for every opportunity to create something for the people who call it home.
We're proud to have worked with some great people in and around Key West. Here's a little of what we've designed and printed for customers in the region,

An entire gym apparel identity inspired by Key West's history, characters, and independent spirit. From conch shells and chickens to shipwrecks, cigars, and the working waterfront, Iron Key is our interpretation of what a gym brand born in the Conch Republic could look like.
It's not just a single T-shirt. It's a collection of ideas built around a place.
