DTTA – Dance Studio Shirts | UNITEE

DTTA: Varsity Stack

Four letters. One direction nobody expected. DTTA went vertical and it works a lot better than it has any right to.

Overview

D, T, T, A — each letter stacked top to bottom down the right side of a black dolman style tee in oversized hot pink varsity block lettering with a dark outline. The vertical placement is the whole move here, turning a simple initial treatment into something that reads more like a fashion piece than a standard dance studio shirt. The hot pink pops hard against the black fabric, and the relaxed cut of the garment gives the whole thing a casual, wearable energy that works on and off the studio floor.

Results

Vertical lettering placement is one of those design choices that feels risky until you see it on the shirt. This one pulls it off because the letters are big enough and bold enough to carry the whole front without anything else competing for attention. Dance tshirts that look like something you'd actually buy in a store are the ones that get worn the most, and this one clears that bar easily.
