True Core: Murph Crossed Bars

Murph asks a lot. A mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, another mile. True Core shows up every Memorial Day to do exactly that in honor of Lieutenant Michael Murphy. The shirt just goes along for the ride.

Overview

Printed in gold on a black tee, the front centers on two crossed barbells forming an X with the gym name split on either side. The back runs vertical down the center spine: MURPH stacked in large outlined block letters with 2025 beneath it. Gold on black is a classic pairing that reads bold without trying too hard, and the midweight black tee is a natural fit for a workout shirt people will actually want to wear again.

Results

The goal was a Murph shirt that felt worth earning. The barbell cross gives the gym identity a visual anchor that means something to the people in the room, and the stacked back type makes it clear what day this was and why it mattered. These crossfit shirts tend to live past Memorial Day and show up at the gym long after the summer is over.
