Carpe Diem CrossFit: Murph Sky Stripe

Every gym has its own way of saying thank you. This one showed up in light blue.

Overview

Printed in black and white on a heather light blue tee. The front keeps it clean with a bold gym name, star emblem, and double rule lines. The back does the heavy lifting: a full stencil portrait of Lt. Murphy flanked by vertical stripes, "MURPH 24" in block type, and a column of eight stars up the right side. The soft garment color was a smart call — it keeps the ink contrast sharp without going the usual black or grey route.

Results

Light blue isn't the obvious choice for a Murph shirt, and that's exactly what makes it stand out in a sea of dark gym tees. The portrait on the back puts a face to the name, which matters on a day like this. These are the kind of crossfit shirts people fold up and put away instead of tossing in the gym bag.
