S75: Murph 2025 Ghost Portrait Edition

S75: Ghost Portrait Edition

S75 does Murph every Memorial Day because the name on the workout belongs to a real person. These gym shirts were designed around that idea and nothing else.

Overview

Printed on a natural cream tee, the front centers a large vector portrait of a soldier crouched in full kit, rendered in warm grey and tan tones directly over a faded horizontal American flag wash. "MURPH" sits above the portrait in spaced grey sans-serif type and "25" anchors below in the same understated style. The back carries the S75 kettlebell sun logo in a light grey at the upper yoke, barely visible against the cream. The entire shirt lives in cream, tan, grey, and sand. There is no high contrast moment anywhere on these murph tshirts, which is a deliberate choice. The faded ghost-like quality of the soldier portrait against the flag wash gives the design a feeling closer to a memorial photograph than a gym shirt. It is the most restrained piece in the S75 Murph portfolio and the most emotionally direct.

Results

The tonal cream palette makes this crossfit shirt unlike anything else in the Murph lineup. It does not shout, it remembers. S75 ended up with a Murph shirt that members will fold carefully rather than toss in a pile, which is exactly the kind of staying power that comes from designing with real intention behind every color choice.
